BELEN ELECTRIC GENERATION CO. INC., was established in 2002 with the purpose of establishing, commissioning, leasing electrical energy production facilities, producing of energy and selling produced electrical energy.
Belen Wind Farm Project is located in Belen district, Hatay Province, and the total installed capacity is 48 MW. Part of 30 MW of the plant has been in operation since October 2009.
With the provisional acceptance realized on September 2, 2010, a capacity increase of 6 MW was achieved, and Belen Wind Power Plant reached a capacity of 36 MW. On July 26, 2013, with the commissioning of four additional turbines, the total installed capacity of Belen Wind Power Plant is increased to 48 MW. The estimated annual production is 135.000.000 kWh.
